We are so excited to spotlight this fantastic golfer! He was with our program during its early years when we were only at Deep Springs Elementary. Now he’s playing golf in HS and we couldn’t be prouder of where his hard work has taken him. We look forward to seeing how he grows as a golfer in the years to come! Check out his interview....

What role did the DSE Golf Club play in your golfing journey?
I learned how to hold a golf club, and the basics of how to swing my irons, and drives, and putting.

What advice would you give to someone looking to start golfing?
Take your time, don’t rush, and try to hit a straight ball. Work on your short game putting and chipping.

What is your favorite golf memory?
My favorite golf memory was when I chipped my ball from the rough and made it in the hole for birdie

Our club is so excited to spotlight this golfer! Sophie is a 7th grader who plays golf for West Jessamine Middle. While her success has been completely of her own hard work and dedication to improving her game, the DSE Golf Club loves that we were a part of her golfing journey. We are so proud of you Sophie! Just recently she improved her score by 10 strokes as the West team beat LCA 169-173. Check out our interview with her below.

Be prepared to miss shots and practice a lot.

My best memory of playing golf so far is getting to play with my dad more. He gives me suggestions on my game and it gives us quality time together.
